This pause for tea became a fashionable social event. During the 1880’s upper-class and society women would change into long gowns, gloves and hats for their afternoon tea which was usually served in the drawing room between four and five o’clock.
Ladies we do not require you to be quite so formal!

Afternoon Tea Prices start from €23.95 per person, if you would like to upgrade to include a glass of  prosecco it would be an additional €7.00 per person. Make your afternoon sparkling.

Afternoon tea at Athlone Springs Hotel & Leisure Club isn’t just for grown-ups, kids too are invited to come along and enjoy tiers of tasty treats and delights. If you are thinking of bringing your little one along with you, the more the merrier, we cater for a kids afternoon tea and would only love to have them with us too. Our Guys and Dolls Afternoon Tea is €15.00 per child and is available daily all year round including weekends and school holidays, pre booking is essential.
